Goodnight Sleep

The light from devices can keep you awake and disrupt your sleep. No screens for one hour before bedtime.

Reading is great self-care but it is also a good way to encourage sleep, ever notice as you’re turning the pages your eyes start to close, fighting to reach the next chapter, this process is preparing your body for sleep.

 

Create a comfy, peaceful room by keeping it quiet, cool & dark. Your bedroom should be your retreat. It should be clean, uncluttered, organised and a relaxing space for sleep & rest.

 

Bedtime routines are important. Curl up with a book; take a warm bath try adding some essential oils or Epsom salts.

Doing the same relaxing thing every night will signal to your body it’s time to settle down.

 

Racing mind, always think of your best ideas at bedtime….

Keep a notebook next to your bed, write it down & deal with it in the morning.

 

Keep water next to your bed.

Hydration at night time is key to helping your body repair itself overnight- give those kidneys a rest too!
